1. Overview

EATO is a recipe and guided cooking app. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and your rights.

2. Data We Collect

EATO does not require you to create an account. We collect minimal data necessary to operate the app:

• Recipes & content — fetched from our servers (Supabase) and cached locally on your device. No personal data is sent to our servers during browsing.
• Favorites & preferences — stored locally on your device using Apple's UserDefaults. Not transmitted to any server.
• Purchase information — managed by RevenueCat to verify your EATO Premium subscription. We do not store payment details. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
• Advertising data — free users see ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data for ad personalisation. See Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out via your device's privacy settings (Limit Ad Tracking).
• AI features — the EATO AI chef runs entirely on-device using Apple Intelligence (iOS 26+). No conversation data is sent to our servers.

3. Third-Party Services

4. Apple Watch

If you use the Apple Watch companion app, cooking steps are sent from your iPhone to your Watch over a local WatchConnectivity session. No data is transmitted to external servers.

5. Children's Privacy

EATO is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

6. Data Retention

Locally cached recipe data can be cleared by deleting the app. Subscription records are managed by Apple and RevenueCat per their respective policies.

7. Your Rights

Since EATO does not collect personal accounts or identifiable data on our servers, there is no personal profile to request, export, or delete. For advertising data, use your device's privacy controls.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes.
